Part 1:
Nakatani Gong Orchestra [NGO] @ 6:30

Five people performing on five gong kits. Ten gongs will be set up on the stage.The gongs will be bowed and softly struck with mallets producing and intensely immersive sound. The music of N.G.O. is a metallic temple of deep harmonies and a poetic beauty of spaces. N.G.O. clears the pathway.

Tatsuya Nakatani is the ensemble's conductor.

Part 2:
Mediums @ 8:30

Players:
Travis Austin: composer, performing on synthesizers and various electronic constituents.
Travis will be joined in this performance by a string ensemble.

The performance consists of four projection screens set downstage, each of them equipped with a two-way live feed to players positioned upstage. The group will be projected and amplified (both visually and sonically) together, but the members are physically separate. Mediums provide the message.
