T is For: Two hundred two-steppers on the steps of the Texas Capitol
April 21 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Texas State Capitol Building
Celebrated local choreographer Allison Orr teams up with award-winning Austin-based composer Graham Reynolds to kick-off the 2010 Fusebox Festival on the steps of the state capitol. T is for... will celebrate the two-step's rich cultural history while showcasing local dancers who love and live for the two-step. Strategically situated overlooking downtown on the capitol steps, the thirty-minute performance will feature a legion of local two-steppers. The number of performers will gradually increase over the course of the performance, culminating with a final "All-Step" where audience members will be invited to two-step as well. Accompanied by a 15-piece Texas swing orchestra with vocalists Dale Watson and Christina Marrs.
Free BBQ provided by Stubb's BBQ!
