Los Angeles born, New York based, choreographer Faye Driscoll was hailed as, "1 of 25 to watch out for in 2008," by Dance Magazine. She is a 2009 New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award winner for her autobiographical work 837 Venice Boulevard which was hailed as "one of the top 5 dance shows of the year" by the New York Times. Driscoll’s most recent work, There is so much mad in me (2010) was created through commissions from both the American Dance Festival and Dance Theater Workshop. There is so much mad in me had two runs at DTW due to popular demand. Faye is a 2010/2011 Choreographic Fellow at the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography at FSU and a 2011 Artist-in Residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts and the Baryshnikov Arts Center. Driscoll’s video work, Loneliness, was featured in the prestigious Younger Than Jesus at the New Museum and she recently choreographed for The Forrest, a music video for the music artist Mirah. Driscoll has choreographed for several theater productions including; Cynthia Hopkins The Truth: A Tragedy, Young Jean Lee’s Untitled Feminist Multimedia Technology Show, The Shipment and Church, Taylor Mac’s (Obie Award) The Lily’s Revenge, and NTUSA’s Chautauqua! Faye is currently at Barnard and NYU and working on her new show not…not (working title) which will premier at the Kitchen in 2012.
