William Meadows has worked as a composer, performer, and sound designer for over twenty years. His compositions have been performed at new music concerts and festivals across the country. In recent years he has focused on music for dance, working with Sally Jacques, Deborah Hay, Sharir/Bustamante Danceworks and others. In 2007 he received the Austin Critic's Table Award for Best Sound Design for his work on Sally Jacques' site-specific dance work in downtown Austin, and "Pluto: Requiem for an Icy World" was nominated for Best Original Composition.
