Paul Andrejco & Puppet Heap

After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1991, Paul Andrejco began his career as a freelance puppet builder in Jim Henson’s Muppet Workshop in New York. Paul flourished as a designer and builder of unique characters not only for JHP, but for many other clients as well. He was quickly promoted to a permanent staff position within the company as an art director and character designer, which resulted in his being nominated for several Emmy awards. During Paul’s tenure at Jim Henson Productions, he designed and built characters for many award-winning productions, including "The Muppet Christmas Carol", "City Kids", "Bear in the Big Blue House", "Elmo in Grouchland", and "Muppets from Space."

In 2004, Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to devote full attention to his own vision, Puppet Heap, a unique puppet studio that began as a simple idea in his Hoboken apartment in 1992. Since then, Puppet Heap has become a nationally recognized character design company, garnering such acclaimed clients as Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, ITV, Big Idea, Little Airplane Productions, and The Walt Disney Company. Paul lives in South Orange, New Jersey with his beautiful wife of fourteen years, three children, and a one-eyed cat.
