tEEth
APRIL 21, 22, 23
Choreographer Angelle Hebert and composer Phillip Kraft founded Portland-based dance company tEEth in 2006. As one of Portland’s few touring performance companies, tEEth has received glowing reviews in New York, New Orleans, Seattle and elsewhere. Most recently, tEEth won The Joyce Theater Foundation's The A.W.A.R.D. Show! Seattle: 2011 at On the Boards. Working together closely, the pair generate new work through deeply collaborative processes, interweaving music and movement through melodic and conceptual mirroring. Hebert’s precise, distinctive phrases push gestural dance to its limits, while Kraft’s music merges gritty sound with hypnotic melody. tEEth approach the body with a singular eye for life's beauty and dark absurdity, combining technical virtuosity with raw impact.
tEEth recently was awarded a $10k award from On the Boards.
